Using IMS PCB technology allows LEDs to operate at lower temperatures and this leads to improved energy efficiency.
Aspocomp provides IMS PCBs for LED applications. A typical solution is an aluminum-based substrate with thin dielectric high thermal conductivity material and copper foil on top. Another possibility is Cu-back substrate with a thin insulator layer on top.
